UCF - 2015 Carnegie Community Engagement Application

UCF has been named as one of twenty-five Carnegie Foundation-designated “very high research” public institutions and one of 361 total institutions in the nation to earn the 2015 Carnegie Community Engagement Classification, which is based upon the extent and depth of our engagement with local, national, and global communities.

The classification recognizes the partnership of university knowledge and resources with those of public and private sectors to enrich scholarship, research, and creative activity; enhance curriculum, teaching and learning; prepare educated, engaged citizens; strengthen democratic values and civic responsibility; address critical societal issues; and contribute to the public good, according to the New England Resource Center for Higher Education, which administers the Carnegie process.
