The open secret behind UCF's innovations

President Hitt discusses the innovation culture of UCF on December 9, 2015, in addressing more than 300 community members at a UCF Focus Breakfast in downtown Orlando. His remarks include a call to support UCF's proposed downtown campus with up to $20 million in private donations. Said the president: "We are absolutely certain of the value of a downtown campus to our students and to our Orlando city-state."

Happy 10th anniversary, DirectConnect to UCF!

President Hitt discusses the impact and importance of the DirectConnect to UCF program in celebrating its 10th anniversary on November 9, 2015. The national model partnership that originated with UCF, Eastern Florida State College, Lake Sumter State College, Seminole College, and Valencia College has resulted in nearly 27,000 degrees being awarded. In addition, the president noted that DirectConnect keeps getting bigger and better with the additions of Daytona State College and the College of Central Florida.

Colbourn worked tirelessly to advance UCF
